Memories of Julia Child inspire this classic French-style beef stew. Now you can make it at home - with ease. Impress family and friends . . . and yourself! Stovetop: 90 minutes for stew; 10 minutes for noodles.
Preparation: Thaw completely. If frozen or partially frozen, defrost slightly in microwave before cooking.
Cooking Instructions: Stove Top (for best result): Preheat sauce pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and brown meat, about 3-4 minutes. Add sauce. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook slowly for 1 hour and 45-55 minutes or until beef is tender, stirring occasionally. Add more water if water evaporates, 1/4 cup at a time. Remove cover, turn heat up to medium and continue to cook for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Serve Beef Bourguignon over noodles. Slow-Cooker: Place meat and sauce in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or until beef is tender. Noodles: Bring 8 cups water to a boil and add noodles. Boil 8-10 minutes or until noodles are tender.
Suggested Sides: Super Suppers Garlic Knots, tossed salad
