All you do is add the shrimp, onions, celery, green peppers and other goodies and give it a quick cooking on the stovetop. Serve over the rice that's included, and you’ve made an instant Louisiana favorite in your own kitchen. Stovetop – 20 minutes.
Preparation: Thaw completely. If frozen or partially frozen, defrost slightly in microwave before cooking. Do not over-microwave, or shrimp will become tough.
Cooking Instructions: Place bag of vegetables and 1 cup water in saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add bag of shrimp and cook 5-8 minutes or until shrimp turns pink and opaque. Do not over-cook, or shrimp will become tough. Place rice in microwaveable container; add 1 tablespoon water. Cover and heat in microwave 1 minute or until hot. Serve gumbo over rice.
