Our tamales are filled with tender beef and wrapped in a tasty corn pastry. Give them a quick heating and serve with mild, beefy chili.
Preparation: Thaw completely.
Cooking Instructions: Place chili in saucepan and add 1/2 cup water (1/4 cup of water for regular entree). Place over low heat on stovetop. Cook and stir until hot and bubbly. Place tamales in covered skillet and add 1/4 cup water. Cover and place over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer and allow to simmer 25 minutes to heat tamales completely. To serve, unwrap tamales and cover with chili. If tamales are frozen or partially frozen, add 5 to 10 minutes to cooking time. If chili is frozen or partially frozen, defrost in microwave before cooking on stovetop.
Suggested Sides: Garnish with sour cream and shredded cheese, and serve with a salad of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.
